Fun Fact-
Tender 1726 (pictured below) is one of the oldest tender in service in the State of
New Jersey. This truck is a 1986 Ford 8000 and has been a work horse for us for many
years. Its main use is to get water to a scene. You may notice that there
are no hydrants in the area where you live. This means that if there is a
fire there would be upward of 7 tenders coming to the scene. Most tenders
hold 3500 gallons of water as opposed to the 750-1000 gallons most engines
carry. In our area tenders are one of the most important pieces of apparatus

I miss driving that old girl! Had a 13 speed back then 😎

I drove that to its first official call when put in service and was part of committee that planned trucks design from 4-guys. I put a lot of miles on that truck, came from Pennsylvania Water Co with a flatbed before it was built into a tender. It’ll pull a house down, awesome truck!

You may have recently taken notice to our “new to us” Fire Police vehicle FP1729. This vehicle was donated to our fire company by the Hampton Lakes Emergency Squad (178). FP1729s duties include; traffic control, scene control, road closures, various parade duties and when necessary transportation of firefighters. In order to put this vehicle into service we had a checklist of items to do including modifications and paint. Once FP1729 was ready the final step was the lettering and chevron. This was done by Acerbo's Auto Trim & Letteringring. Check out what a great job they did!! None of this could have been accomplished if not for the support of the community by attending our fundraisers and donating to our fund drive. Thank you! ... See MoreSee Less

I had a big part I delvoping the way 4319 got set up when I was in Tabernacle . Ambulance re rigs to fire police units are very good for come storage and storage of equipment. Contact njdot to see if they can donate some cones

Tonight at our weekly drill, we performed an SCBA confidence drill. Simultaneously, our drivers worked on pumping techniques and gained experience behind the windshield. The drill was designed to teach our firefighters how to navigate through unique and difficult parts of a structure. These may include: windows, confined spaces, narrow doorways, ladders, declines, and stairs. Firefighters must wield hand tools and demonstrate proper search techniques throughout the drill. This was a great multipurpose and educational exercise. Our firefighters can be found executing these maneuvers in the video embedded below.

While our firefighters were performing their drill, fire police sharpened skills with driving training and emergency vehicle awareness.

We had a great showing again this week of 15 members.

Thank you for sharing this. People don't realize the training firefighters need to survive whatever situation they might find on the fire scene. Tonight was an easy one, blindfolded on the playground, but who knows when the next time might be a house, in flames, in total darkness. Thank you for your dedication!
